Our monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm are packed full of interest with demonstrations or talks from top professionals and we have a great line up for this year.

Christmas Capers to be revealed nearer the date.
Mike, a regular visitor to WBAS, will return at the start of 2027, This time, he will be demonstrating the use of Pastels; a vibrant medium with immediacy of mark-making and striking results. He is always open to questions and will update us on what he has been up to since his last visit.

The Annual General Meeting will be held this evening. As usual, this will be a brief affair followed by something far more enthralling, and a little different from the norm. Ruby Lewis, who we all know and love, will be talking about foraging in the wild. There will be samples of her home brews too!
Watford Camera Club are our hosts this year for the Annual head to head competition; ART v PHOTOGRAPHY. The clash of the Titans!!

Laura Reiter; the Artist in Love With Colour. Yes, she makes her return today with a landscape using mixed media. Laura is an intuitive artist whose semi-abstract work is inspired by her travels abroad and at home.
As if his work couldn't get more exciting; this time Matt will be painting a portrait in oils, but using a palette knife. So those marks are going to be even more expressive! Matt also teaches groups and individuals and he set up a Life Drawing Class in Milton Keynes.
Susan Gray will delight us with her spontaneous use of acrylic creating an abstract landscape. We will follow her progress well as she involves her audience with her decision making.
Jill will be demonstrating her considerable skill in Botanical Drawing. Painting from life, she will lead us through her process to create a beautiful floral masterpiece.
It's been a while...... but we a thrilled to have Rodney Kingston return to wbas. Rodney has exhibited with the RSOP and has been a contestant on both PAOTY and LAOTY. For his demo with us, he will be painting a still life in oils. Great to have him back!
Ronnie Ireland's recent visits to wbas have been to lecture on Scottish Artists, but on his return this time, we have allowed him to use a paintbrush!! Ronnie will be painting in Acrylic. We know that the Artist always has a unique take on his subject, so let's see what evolves.
Mick came to wbas as a stand in, at very short notice, for Peter Keegan last year. He proved very popular indeed and he was invited to return. Mick is passionate about painting Alla Prima and at this event, he will paint another lively portrait in oils.
Whatever we plan for this date will be fun-filled and sociable!
