SUSAN GRAY

Susan is a land and seascape artist. She works plein-air, creating small studies and sketches to develop into larger paintings or painting directly on large boards on the beach or in the landscape. She draws her inspiration from the West Country, Cumbria and her home in the Chilterns. She often paints at high tide, the […]

MATT WARUSZYNSKI

WE BRING YOU A NEW ARTIST-MATT WARUSZYNSKI How exciting to bring a new artist to WBAS! Matt lives in Northamptonshire and he specialises in figurative work and portraits. He is interested in exploring how the body and face tell the story of our lives. He has a impasto style, applying paint thickly. Matt describes his […]

PHIL BIGGS returns with his watercolour magic.

To ring the changes, we have a watercolour demonstration from Phil Biggs today. He loves to paint en plein air and describes himself as a traditional landscape watercolourist.

FRANK WOODGATE

The very distinguished lecturer in Art History, Frank Woodgate, joins us again. His illustrated lectures are always detailed and thorough with all of the scandal included!

MIKE ROLLINS RETURNS which means another fun-fuelled meeting when Mike will be getting out his loyalty cards, palette knives and kitchen roll…..there may be some acrylic paint involved too!

MIKE ROLLINS Last year's acrylic demonstration saw Mike painting the dramatic Chrysler Building landscape. Using some random items that one may not associate with fine art, Mike wowed us with his method and the outcome. He will be bringing acrylic paint again, together with his lighthearted banter and informative approach.

WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP WITH JAKE WINKLE

THE AUTUMN WORKSHOP WITH JAKE WINKLE The brilliant Jake Winkle will be at The Frobisher Studio, Bushey, to inspire and guide members in this watercolour workshop. The subject is going to be challenging "Boats and Harbours", so only one painting will be achieved this time.

PETER KEEGAN returns

Our regular friend Peter Keegan is booked to delight us with his impressionist style of Acrylic painting. There is always something to learn from this seasoned professional.
