I was born in Portugal, where I studied creative arts before coming to Britain to continue my education at the graduate level in art history and classical ancient history.
I have always been passionate about drawing and painting using vibrant colours and a warm palette. My artistic practice reflects the warmth, colours, and light of the Mediterranean. I love doing still life.
In my work, I paint with red, orange, yellow, brown, and gold but always use complementary colours such as green, blue, or purple to heighten the effect. I also use black backgrounds because it makes the colours stand out.
I am very inspired by the great masters of the Renaissance and Neo-Classical periods.
